Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Sandblaster for 2nd shift (3:30pm-11:00pm EST, Monday - Friday). Pay starts at $16.50+ per hour, depending on experience. Training is provided, with higher pay for prior sandblasting experience.

Responsibilities include masking areas, moving parts in/out of the sand blast booth, regulating abrasive flow, and inspecting finished products for conformance to specs. Physical work, including lifting up to 50 lbs, is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Mask specified areas of object.
• Move product to be sand blasted in and out of sand blast booth.
• Turn valves on equipment to regulate pressure and abrasive flow.
• Clean product and handle abrasives into hopper.
• Inspect product for conformance to specifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SANDBLASTER

Key Responsibilities: Masks specified areas of object, Moves product to be sand blasted in and out of sand blast booth, turns valves on equipment to regulate pressure and composition of abrasive mixture flowing through nozzle or into tumbling barrel. Cleans product, shovels or pours abrasives such as sand, grit or shot of specified grade into machine hopper. Examines product to ensure conformance to specifications. Perform other duties as assigned

Expected Results: Abrades surfaces of metal or hard composition objects to remove adhearing sale, sand, paint, grease, tar, rust and dirt and to impart specified finish.
