Job summary

Watertownchamber is seeking a reliable operator to run mechanical sandblast equipment, removing ceramic, sand, and scale from castings to achieve the desired finish. The role requires positioning castings, adjusting the nozzle, and loading materials.

Training is available for the right candidate, with emphasis on safety and efficiency; physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with minimal supervision are required.

Qualifications

• Experience removing excess materials with a sandblaster.
• Strong prioritizing and planning skills; able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate mechanical sandblast equipment to remove ceramic, sand, and scale from castings.
• Position castings on the table in proper orientation for cleaning.
• Operate sandblast nozzle to complete the cleaning operation as specified.
• Reposition castings, change nozzle and/or hose, fill hopper with materials, and adjust air/abrasive mix.
