Job summary

American Rheinmetall seeks a skilled Sandblaster to prepare surfaces, remove old paint and rust, and support shop operations in our Lansing, MI facility.

  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization.
  • Maintain high level of housekeeping in the work area, including 5S.
  • Adherence to all company policies, procedures, external regulations and legal requirements.
  • Other duties as directed by management.

Job Summary

Responsible for sandblasting surfaces to remove old paint, rust, and other debris. Assists in shop activities by performing the following duties.

Essential Functions
  • Preparing parts for paint, masking, cleaning, and hanging on rack.
  • Finishing operations and packaging, paint touch up, part marking, etc.
  • Must have some experience with Sandblasting outside.

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous relevant experience in a manufacturing, technical, or production environment preferred.
Background Prerequisites

Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks, physical, and controlled substance testing.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in an AS9100 or ISO 14001 certified environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with standard documentation or reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and process efficiency.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
