Job summary

Pennsy Supply, a CRH Company, seeks a plant operator to assist in the maintenance of the sand/gravel quarry and operate the plant and dredge. The role requires strict adherence to MSHA/OSHA/DOT safety rules and regular safety briefings, with a focus on safe startup, startup/shutdown procedures, and daily production reporting.

Applicants should have 1–2 years of heavy equipment experience and be able to work varied shifts at multiple locations. Drug screening and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Must submit to a drug screen and criminal background check.
• Able to work various times during day, night or weekend hours, at various locations.
• 1-2 years operating heavy equipment or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and follow all safety rules and regulations of MSHA/OSHA/DOT and Pennsy Supply, Inc.
• Conduct daily safety assignments (area inspections, pre-shifts, JSA’s, TRACK, etc).
• Ensure a safe work environment by overseeing compliance with all safety policies; conducting toolbox talks and ensuring personnel have the appropriate tools and equipment.
• Communicate regularly with plant/dredge to ensure all processes are proceeding according to appropriate standards.
• Proper and safe start up and shut down of plant/dredge.
• Monitoring operation of plant/dredge, making necessary adjustments and maintenance on plant/dredge including oil levels and grease dredge.
• Responsible for daily production reports.
• Other duties as assigned
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Demonstrate friendly and business-like attitude towards vendors, customers, truck drivers, fellow employees and supervisors.
• Become a team member and help achieve the common goals of the company.

Education
