Job summary

Chart Industries, Inc. is seeking energetic applicants for general labor in our Texas manufacturing setting. You will perform loading/unloading, operate common tools, and move product with various equipment while following safety protocols.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, at least 3 months in a fast-paced manufacturing or construction environment, and strong teamwork and attention to detail. Overtime may be required, and a commitment to safety is essential.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 3 months in a manufacturing setting, fast-paced environment, or construction.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Team-work oriented and safety-focused.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills and ability to read a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Perform general manual labor tasks, including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving product.
• Work with leads, coordinators, painter and warehouse dept.
• Report equipment malfunction and other issues affecting department.
• Use hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move product to and from sand and patch to assembly/cart.
• Maintain proper product identification and use of tools as required.
• Comply with CHART policies and maintain clean, organized work areas.

What Will You Do?

• Performs general manual labor tasks, including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving product.
• Works with leads, coordinators, painter and warehouse dept.
• Reports equipment malfunction and other issues affecting department.
• Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move product to and from sand and patch to assembly/cart.
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures under a manufacturing setting.
• Work involves frequent lifting and working with fiberglass in a manufacturing setting.
• Comply with all CHART policies and procedures.
• Maintains good housekeeping and organization throughout the department.
• Ensure all products have proper identification.
• Use of power tools and Bondo filler to work on touch ups as needed.
• Balancing blade product per engineering specifications.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
• Works with pneumatic tools, including angle grinder, orbital sander, etc.
• Keep up with production demand to maintain minimum stock levels of product.

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

• Walking, Standing, Use of hands, Bending, Lifting, Sitting, Etc.
• Indoor working conditions, inside dust booth environment.
• Lifting of materials and product as up to 50 pounds
• Able to stand for long periods of time as up to 12-hour shift as per schedule backlog demand.
• PPE must be worn at all times, Safety glasses, steel toe, ear plugs, cut-impact resistant gloves, full body Tyvek suit, and Power air-purifying respirator hood mask (PARPS).
• Able to work overtime as required as per schedule backlog demand.

Your Experience Should Be...

High School Education or Equivalent

Minimum Experience and Knowledge:

3-month manufacturing setting, fast paced environment or construction experience

Manual Dexterity required for operating machinery
