Job summary

Chart, Inc. in Beasley, TX is seeking a Sand & Patcher to perform general labor duties in a manufacturing setting. You will load and unload materials, move products, and support assembly in a dust booth environment.

The role requires basic reading of tape measures, teamwork, and safety awareness. You will operate various tools and equipment with attention to quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • High School education or equivalent.
  • 3 months in a manufacturing setting or fast-paced environment.
  • Manual dexterity for operating machinery.
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • Teamwork oriented and safety minded.
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, lift, and move product.
  • Use hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, and other handling equipment.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and identify products.
  • Use power tools and perform touch ups with Bondo as needed.
  • Support production to meet demand and ensure stock levels.

What Will You Do?
  • Performs general manual labor tasks, including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving product.
  • Works with leads, coordinators, painter and warehouse dept.
  • Reports equipment malfunction and other issues affecting department.
  • Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move product to and from sand and patch to assembly/cart.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures under a manufacturing setting.
  • Work involves frequent lifting and working with fiberglass in a manufacturing setting.
  • Comply with all CHART policies and procedures.
  • Maintains good housekeeping and organization throughout the department.
  • Ensure all products have proper identification.
  • Use of power tools and Bondo filler to work on touch ups as needed.
  • Balancing blade product per engineering specifications.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.
  • Works with pneumatic tools, including angle grinder, orbital sander, etc.
  • Keep up with production demand to maintain minimum stock levels of product.
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
  • Walking, Standing, Use of hands, Bending, Lifting, Sitting, Etc.
  • Indoor working conditions, inside dust booth environment.
  • Lifting of materials and product as up to 50 pounds
  • Able to stand for long periods of time as up to 12-hour shift as per schedule backlog demand.
  • PPE must be worn at all times, Safety glasses, steel toe, ear plugs, cut-impact resistant gloves, full body Tyvek suit, and Power air-purifying respirator hood mask (PARPS).
  • Able to work overtime as required as per schedule backlog demand.
Your Experience Should Be...

High School Education or Equivalent

Minimum Experience and Knowledge:

3-month manufacturing setting, fast paced environment or construction experience

Manual Dexterity required for operating machinery

Detail oriented and organized

Team-work oriented skills

Safety Oriented Skills

Basic Written and Verbal Skills

Understanding and reading of Tape Measure
