Job summary

MetalTek International is seeking a skilled operator to perform sand core making and related processes. You will mix sands, select core making facilities, and inspect cores for dimensional and surface quality in a casting environment.

The role requires strong math skills, the ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly, and a forklift certification or the ability to obtain one; overhead crane experience is preferred. This position is based in Wisconsin and entails hands-on training of new staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in sand core making and casting environments.
• Strong math and measurement skills with various instruments.
• Able to lift and carry 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain; overhead crane experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mix sand types and binders per specifications.
• Select cores and make using core making facilities.
• Inspect and fit cores; repair as needed.
• Follow procedures, controls and documentation; suggest improvements.
• Grind castings as required.
• Train and assist new employees.
