Job summary

A.h.-Beck-Foundation-Co.,-Inc. is seeking a dependable sandblaster to operate blasting equipment and surface prep for coatings at our Converse, TX location. You will prepare metal surfaces, remove contaminants, and maintain equipment while following strict safety procedures.

This role may include yard and shop duties and occasional Saturday work. Candidates should have prior blasting experience, be able to work outdoors in dusty environments, and lift/move materials as required.

Qualifications

• Sandblasting experience preferred.
• Ability to operate blasting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Outdoor dusty/heavy industrial environment experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and move materials as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate sandblasting and abrasive blasting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Prepare steel and other metal surfaces for coating or painting.
• Remove rust, paint, scale, dirt, and other surface contaminants.
• Inspect surfaces before and after blasting to ensure quality standards are met.
• Set up and maintain blasting equipment, hoses, nozzles, and related tools.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Maintain clean and organized work area.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance issues.
• Assist with other yard and shop duties as needed.
• Work Saturdays as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate sandblasting and abrasive blasting equipment safely and efficiently

Requirements

• Previous sandblasting or abrasive blasting experience preferred
• Experience with operating equipment such as skid steers, loaders, and telehandlers is a plus
• Basic knowledge of industrial air compressors
• Ability to safely operate blasting equipment
• Strong attention to detail
• Dependable and able to work independently
• Ability to work outdoors and in dusty/heavy industrial environments
• Ability to lift and move materials as required
• Must be safety-minded and willing to follow company procedures
