A.H. Beck Foundation Co., Inc. is seeking an experienced sandblasting operator to join our Converse, TX team.

The role focuses on safely operating blasting equipment and preparing metal surfaces for coating. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in dusty industrial environments and willing to perform related yard and shop duties. The position offers full-time hours, overtime opportunities, and on-the-job training in a safe, professional environment.

Competenze

• Experience in sandblasting or abrasive blasting preferred.
• Ability to operate blasting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and safety-mindedness.
• Able to work outdoors in dusty/heavy industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate sandblasting and abrasive blasting equipment safely and efficiently
• Prepare steel and other metal surfaces for coating or painting
• Remove rust, paint, scale, dirt, and other surface contaminants
• Inspect surfaces before and after blasting to ensure quality standards are met
• Set up and maintain blasting equipment, hoses, nozzles, and related tools
• Follow all A.H. Beck safety procedures and wear required PPE
• Maintain clean and organized work area
• Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance issues
• Assist with other yard and shop duties as needed
• Work Saturdays as needed

Requirements

• Previous sandblasting or abrasive blasting experience preferred
• Experience with operating equipment such as skid steers, loaders, and telehandlers is a plus
• Basic knowledge of industrial air compressors
• Ability to safely operate blasting equipment
• Strong attention to detail
• Dependable and able to work independently
• Ability to work outdoors and in dusty/heavy industrial environments
• Ability to lift and move materials as required
• Must be safety-minded and willing to follow company procedures
