Job summary

Nidec is seeking a general labor associate for first shift at our Lexington, Tennessee location. You will perform loading/unloading, lifting, and moving materials, supporting various functions as needed under supervision.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED. You will read and follow written processing instructions, work with hoists, lift trucks, and sanding equipment, and contribute to TPM tasks while maintaining safety and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Wrap and protect leads from paint.
• Move units using hoists and power lift trucks.

• Complete daily/weekly TPM checksheets.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Team Leader.
• Inspect frames for pits or scratches and apply body filler if needed.

Job Description

Performs general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials. Assists a variety of functions with manual labor tasks as needed. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
