Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a sanctions screening analyst in the Sanctions Screening Center of Excellence (SSCoE) to monitor and review customer transactions for economic sanctions compliance. The role supports OFAC alert investigations, data analysis, and collaborative efforts across Global Payment Operations from Richmond, VA.

The position handles day-to-day analytics, reporting, and process improvements while aligning with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in financial services, operations, compliance, sanctions, or a related risk management environment.
• Experience in a highly regulated, production-driven environment with a strong focus on compliance, accuracy, and risk mitigation.
• Analytical and detail oriented; ability to make accurate and timely decisions.

Responsibilities

• Investigate OFAC alerts for both domestic and international banking.
• Review OFAC transactions to meet compliance requirements.
• Performs item processing functions under moderate supervision within a process that has built-in checks and balances.
• Ensures quality service and effective and efficient operations support for the assigned area’s internal business partners and/or external customers/clients.
• Basic level reporting
• Assists with coordination of implementation for products, services, and operational solutions
• Supports the design, documentation, implementation, and monitoring of new products and services
• Provides guidance regarding procedural, technical, and operational changes
• Expands business products knowledge within operations environment
• Builds network by developing relationships with partners and teammates
• Inspects data to identify issues and trends
• Collects and interprets data to validate operational processes
