Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an engineer to own internal bulk gas/liquid/drain capacity reviews and serve as the first reviewer for tool retrofit/expansion projects. You will evaluate early-stage retrofit design, troubleshoot factory issues, and manage upgrades to bulk utilities on-site in Austin.

The role requires understanding utility drawings, field walks, cost/schedule planning, and documentation control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Civil).
• At least 4 years of experience in design or equipment/utility installation; semiconductor facility support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand utility drawings in AutoCAD.
• Execute in factory field walks during early design to evaluate pipe routing and interference risks.
• Build out cost and schedule requirements for utility retrofits.
• Project management and tracking of factory retrofit utility work execution.
• Document control of piping specs and flow models for bulk utilities.
• Review tool installation packages for fitting/piping size, flow and pressure accuracy.
• Change order requests documentation and processing for ongoing upgrades/changes to utility requirements.
