Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Field Quality Supervisor to lead a team of technicians ensuring quality and safety within the Infra department. You will manage staffing, run 6S programs, and establish quality control steps to ensure work is planned and completed correctly.

The role focuses on safety, team growth, and root-cause analysis for quality or safety issues. You will also perform job observations, track KPIs, and write inspection reports while ensuring compliance with EH&S

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related experience in field operations.
• Bachelor’s in engineering preferred; strong leadership and QA background.
• Experience leading technician teams and ensuring safety compliance.

Position Summary

The Field Quality Supervisor leads a team of technicians responsible for the quality and safety of work within the Infra department. This role manages staffing and scheduling, runs the Infra 6S programs, and sets up quality control steps to make sure all work is planned and completed correctly. By performing job observations, tracking KPIs, and writing detailed inspection reports, the Supervisor ensures the team follows all company and regulatory rules while finding ways to make systems more reliable.
In addition to managing the work, this role focuses on safety and team growth. The Supervisor enforces EH&S rules—such as LOTO and Confined Space protocols—and supports the initial investigation and root cause analysis when quality or safety issues occur as needed.
2. Proceed with overall quality assurance on process through qualification approval by verifying quality of new products and processes and verification of mass productivity.
3. Detect accidents at early stage by establishing quality system and quality-related SOP(Standard Operating Procedure).

Role and Responsibilities

Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:

• Lead a team of technicians who oversee field quality of various work within infra
• Manage technicians’ coverage and balance technician staffing to meet business needs.
• Oversee the operation and performance of the infra 6S programs.
• Conduct job walks to validate preparation and planning for work activities.
• Monitor workflow to achieve KPIs, goals and objectives.
• Lead group safety and quality meetings; communicate company and departmental direction to subordinates.
• Report quality and safety issues immediately via the department’s escalation process. Conduct initial investigation and root cause analysis.
• Continually drive group culture toward greater learning, development, and overall job satisfaction
• Support management and development of annual expense budgets

Skills and Qualifications

Here’s What You’ll Need :

• 2 Years of college/technical school or equivalent related experience
• BS in related engineering field (Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems etc.) preferred
• 2+ years of experience managing technician teams
• 4+ year experience in industrial operations and maintenance
• Certification, license, Associates degree or military experience in - HVAC, Mechanical, Chemical, I&C (Instrumentation and Controls), Electrical, Plumbing, Gas Fitting, Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, Facilities Maintenance Technology, Microelectronics, Renewable Energy Technology, Water and Environmental Technology, Water / Purification, Industrial Process Operator, or related technical or STEM field.

The current base salary range for this role is between $90,000 - $151,500. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performanc e.
