Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor in Austin is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead a shift of 4–15 manufacturing specialists, ensuring smooth production flow, fast problem solving, and best‑in‑class quality.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, 3–5 years of manufacturing supervision in semiconductor environments, and experience with inventory analysis, capacity planning, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Semiconductor manufacturing experience preferred.
• 3-5 years prior management/supervisory experience preferred.
• 1-year minimum experience with inventory analysis, production control, capacity planning, lean manufacturing, six sigma, or project management.

• Workhours: B Shift – Sunday through Tuesday (6:45pm – 7:15am) with alternating Saturdays.

Position Summary

As a member of the T1 Manufacturing Operations shift team, the employee is directly responsible for managing a team of 4 to 15 manufacturing specialists that maintain the flow of production through sections of the line, during their shift, while achieving world class speed and quality. Duties of a Manufacturing Supervisor include but are not limited to people-management and all the ensuing duties that encompass it, troubleshooting advanced production issues through the use of a computer; making decisions based on best known methods or operating procedures; tracking, documenting, and communicating production roadblocks; and working as a team with outside departments to improve manufacturing performance.

• Basic data analysis skills; analyzing & interpreting data.
• Experience in manufacturing sciences (Theory of Constraints, Lean Manufacturing, Capacity Planning, and Flow Optimization)

Salary and Compensation

The current base salary range for this role is between $85,000- $135,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.

Export Control

This position may include access to controlled information or technology under U.S. export control laws. Employment may be contingent on either the applicant verifying that the applicant falls under the “U.S. Person” definition (including U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, and those granted U.S. asylum or refugee status) or the employer timely obtaining any necessary export license under federal law.
