Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a process engineer to help establish world-class processes and equipment while driving yield enhancements. You will diagnose in-line issues, qualify new tools, and coordinate equipment downtime with manufacturing and engineering teams.

The role emphasizes data-driven decisions and SOP optimization in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates have a BS in engineering and at least four years in semiconductors, with 300mm dry etch experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Experience with 300mm dry etch processes is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Monitor wafer fabrication process by responding to in-line issues and disposition lots.
• Qualify wafer fabrication processes on new tools.
• Coordinate scheduling of process qualifications and equipment downtime with manufacturing or equipment engineering.
• Use software to analyze data and identify trends to guide processing decisions.
• Make adjustments when parameters are exceeded and monitor parameters after maintenance.
• Execute inline changes (CPM) to the process or equipment.
• Communicate technical information within the department through presentations.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
• Continuously revise SOPs.

The current base salary range for this role is between $106,000 - $145,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
