Job summary

Eurofins USA Environment Testing in Lancaster, PA is seeking a Sample Splitter to perform soil sample splitting following a LIMS-guided program, ensuring correct split types and checks are applied.

Responsibilities include weighing samples on a balance, recording data in LIMS, running instrumentation, and disposing of samples per the program. Training will be on 1st shift for 3–4 weeks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills including data entry.
• Professional working proficiency in English, including reading, writing and speaking.

The Sample Splitter will perform sample splitting on soil samples by following a program in LIMS (Lab Information Management System) that will display the types of splits and checks that need to be performed.

Responsibilities

• Perform soil splitting and moisture checks on samples as required.
• Weigh out sample mass using a balance and record the information in LIMS.
• Run instrumentation and transfer data into the LIMS system.
• Perform sample discard on various bottle types by following a program in LIMS that indicates when a sample is ready for disposal.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Full‑time position on 2nd shift, 3pm-11:30pm. Shift can be Tues‑Sat or Sun‑Thurs. Training will be on 1st shift M‑F for 3‑4 weeks.

Basic Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Basic computer skills including data entry.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• Professional working proficiency in English, including the ability to read, write, and speak in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous laboratory experience.
• Previous experience with instrumentation.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to use a balance and measure using milliliters.

Pay

Pay range: $17.75+ 10% shift differential.
