Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing is seeking a Laboratory Logistics - Sample Splitter for the 2nd shift. The role involves soil sample splitting, moisture checks, and data entry in the LIMS system, with training on the first shift.

This full-time position requires accuracy, independent work, and proficiency in English. Two shift options are available: Fri-Mon with 4 ten-hour shifts (2nd shift) or Tue-Sat 3pm–11:30pm, with training on the 1st shift Mon-Fri for 3–4 weeks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be able to work independently and communicate in English.
• Experience in a laboratory setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform sample splitting on soil samples following LIMS instructions.
• Weigh samples using a balance and record data in LIMS.
• Conduct moisture checks using a moisture analyzer and transfer data.
• Run instrumentation and transfer data to LIMS.
• Discard samples as indicated by the LIMS program.
• Take on additional duties as assigned.

• Compensation: USD 17.75 - USD 19.53 - hourly

The Sample Splitter will perform sample splitting on soil samplesby following a program in LIMS (Lab Information Management System)that will display the types of splits and checks that need to be performed.

• Performing soil splitting also includes performing a moisture check on samples as required.
• This will also require weighing out the sample mass using a balance and recording the information in LIMS.
• Performing moisture checks on a moisture analyzer
• Will be running instrumentation and transferring data into the LIMS system
• Additional duties will include performing sample discard on various bottle types by following a program in LIMS that indicates when a sample is ready for disposal.
• Additional duties as assigned

This is a full-time position and is available on 2 different shifts:

• Friday - Monday, 4 10hour shifts, 2nd shift hours OR
• Tuesday - Saturday 3pm-11:30pm.

Training will be on 1st shift M-F for 3-4 weeks.

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to work independently
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English

Preferred qualifications:

• Previous laboratory experience
• Previous experience with instrumentation
• Ability to use a balance and measure using milliliters
• Pay rate:$17.75/hour + shift differential
