GARDEN STATE LABORATORIES in Hillside, NJ is hiring a Sample Receiving Technician for a full-time role. The position involves meticulous handling and documentation of incoming samples, labeling verification, and accurate data entry in the LIMS system.

The role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency with email and general computer skills, and the ability to stand for long periods and lift/move heavy coolers. Training will cover good documentation practices and receiving procedures.

Responsibilities

• Unpack shipments and document receipt of samples.
• Organize samples and record them on arrival.
• Enter client data into LIMS, including client number, turnaround time and payment information.
• Bottle numbering and bottle refrigeration as applicable.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Interact with walk-in clients.

Salary Range: $17.00 To $19.00 Hourly

About the Role:

In this role, you'll be responsible for the meticulous handling and documentation of incoming samples. This includes inspecting and verifying the condition and labeling of samples upon arrival and accurately recording all necessary information in our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). You'll receive comprehensive training on good documentation practices, efficient sample receiving procedures, and LIMS utilization.

To succeed, you'll need superior attention to detail, proficiency in email, internet usage, and general computer skills. This position requires physical stamina, including prolonged standing and the ability to empty, lift, or move heavy coolers. Punctuality and being a strong team player are also a must.

This is a full-time, 37.5-hour-per-week position. This position is eligible for overtime.
