Job Description

Are you looking to get hands-on experience in an Environment Testing Laboratory? We are hiring for an entry-level position in Sample Receiving.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Prepare samples for processing.
2. Distribute samples to different departments as appropriate.
3. Follow strict safety and quality control procedures.
4. Store, restock, and shelve samples as necessary.
5. Ensure that work area is clean and organized.
6. Enter records in the LIMS system.
7. Assist and oversee all aspects of storing, distributing, and logging samples.

The ideal candidate would possess:

1. Strong organizational skills.
2. Ability to use LIMS software competently (training provided).
3. Basic math skills.
4. Ability to work well with a team.
5. Effective communication skills.
6. Awareness of safety procedures.

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma.
2. Previous experience or exposure to chemistry preferred.
3. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
4. Ability to stand for most of the shift, with frequent bending, twisting, and moving.
5. Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.

Additional Information

Position hours are 1st shift with overtime as needed, Tuesday to Saturday, 9 AM - 5 PM. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Barberton, OH are encouraged to apply.

The lab experiences 10-hour days with overtime available in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. ***Overtime available***

Position starting at $17.75/hr
