Job summary

SGS Lanham, MD laboratory is seeking a dedicated Sample Login Technician to join the Sample Login team. You will handle, log, and manage samples, ensuring integrity of laboratory processes and adherence to quality standards.

Responsibilities include logging, data entry, customer interaction, and coordination with lab personnel to maintain workflow, safety, and compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Interact with clients in person and by phone.
• Receive, organize, and log laboratory samples per protocols and chain-of-custody.
• Perform data entry and maintain laboratory information systems with accuracy.
• Communicate with customers and lab personnel to resolve issues.
• Prepare samples for testing with proper preprocessing, labeling and documentation.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and calibration.
• Conduct routine quality control checks and document results.
• Maintain detailed records of all sample activities and equipment maintenance.
• Follow laboratory safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and report discrepancies or equipment issues to supervision.
• Assist in inventory management of supplies and reagents.
• Support efficient lab workflow by coordinating with team members.
