Dexian is seeking a Second Shift Laboratory Technician to support general lab operations and ensure safety and efficiency in Ankeny, IA. You will contribute to genotyping production activities and maintain accurate documentation.

You will receive, process, and label samples, manage labware inventory, and prepare buffers per standardized procedures while coordinating with supervisors and cross-functional teams in a production-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain general laboratory operations, including housekeeping and cleanliness.
  • Receive, process, and label incoming samples per protocols.
  • Maintain inventory levels of labware and coordinate supplies receiving.
  • Prepare buffers and reagents following standard procedures.
  • Operate and troubleshoot equipment required for genotyping production activities.
  • Review, organize, and archive task-related documents per quality standards.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with Employee Safety and Health guidelines.
  • Follow SOPs and workflow guidelines consistently.
  • Interface with manufacturing and research personnel across departments.
  • Manage multiple concurrent tasks while maintaining quality and accuracy.

Job description

This position offers an exceptional opportunity to play a vital role in supporting critical laboratory operations during second shift hours. The successful candidate will serve as a key contributor to maintaining the efficiency and organization of laboratory workflows, ensuring that daily operations run smoothly and safely. This role encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities, from managing sample processing and inventory control to operating sophisticated equipment and maintaining meticulous documentation standards. The position requires an individual who thrives in a dynamic environment where attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently are essential. Working closely with multiple supervisors and cross-functional teams, this role provides exposure to various aspects of laboratory operations and offers the opportunity to develop technical expertise in a production-focused setting.

Responsibilities:
