Job Description

This position is in the Precision Genomics St. Louis Production Sample Processing lab. The candidate will work collaboratively with a large production team of Full Time Employees (FTEs) and contractors to deliver daily and weekly genotyping targets under tight deadlines. Responsibilities include operating manual and automated lab processes in a PCR lab. Additional tasks may include sample prep, PCR, lab stocking, and supply upkeep.

Shift Details:

Monday - Friday Day Shift (approx. 7am-3pm)

This role is 100% on-site (no hybrid or remote work)

*Must be able to lift 40 lbs.

Desired Skills:

1. Reliability: Essential for maintaining lab operations 7 days a week across multiple shifts. Flexibility for peak times may be required.
2. High Throughput/Production Experience: Handling large sample volumes (2+ million/year) with fast turnaround. Experience with large-scale sample management or fast-paced environments (retail, food service) is a plus. Experience with LIMS is beneficial.
3. Automation/Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable running and troubleshooting automation independently. Biologists with engineering or technical skills are encouraged to apply.
