Reporting to the Sample Lab Manager, the Sample Lab Technician will be responsible for working individually as well as in a team environment with an ever-changing day-to-day schedule. They can fully understand each application by efficiently obtaining the required details by utilizing all available resources of request information including detailed request forms, email, and direct communications with requestor.

This position is part of the Applications Lab team, located in Wood Dale, IL and will be on-site.

The essential responsibilities of the role:

• Validate whether Videojet equipment and/or supplies will successfully meet or exceed the
  expectations set forth by the needs of the requestor.
• Provide well-timed communications with members of our commercial sales, technical
  support and/or customers.
• Tailor Videojet equipment settings to properly meet or exceed the application requirements
  within equipment limitations.
• Evaluate results to assess overall quality as well as performance and determine need for
  adjustment. Provide complete, precise test results electronically via Salesforce.

The essential requirements of this role:

• Associate’s degree or higher preferred with formalized training in electronics or mechanics.
• 2+ years of electrical or mechanical testing experience with basic ability to test functionality of machines and subassemblies.
• Mechanical knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses, repair, and maintenance.

It would be an asset if you have:

• Experience with Videojet printers or technology
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with operator skills on industrial coders

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $25.00 - $29.00 USD per hour.This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
