Job Purpose

We are actively seeking a Tech Ops Technician. This role provides high-quality technical support, event monitoring, and recovery services for client-critical systems hosted on-premises and in the AWS Cloud. You will maintain IT service, functionality, and end-user satisfaction by coordinating, monitoring, maintaining, and assisting with the resolution of escalated issues for applications, services, networks, and cloud services. Tech Ops Technicians support cloud services through monitoring, incident response, and resolution for production applications and infrastructure deployed in the cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Leverage Data Dog, Splunk, and cloud platform monitoring solutions for both on-premises and AWS infrastructure.
  2. Monitor cloud infrastructure to ensure availability and performance SLAs are met.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with cloud infrastructure, working closely with Tech Ops, DevOps, Application, and Cloud Engineering teams.
  4. Perform impact assessments and root cause analysis on incidents.
  5. Implement remediation solutions.
  6. Escalate issues to Engineering Teams as needed.
  7. Follow incident, change, release, and problem management processes.
  8. Facilitate disaster recovery and patching tasks.
  9. Automate monitoring batch processing.
  10. Support hotel onboarding and connectivity tasks.
  11. Coordinate and implement technical releases.
  12. Participate in project work as assigned.

Preferred Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of IT/IS experience.
  • Experience with monitoring platforms for on-premises and cloud technologies.
  • Intermediate Linux support skills.
  • A keen interest in new technologies.
  • Willingness to research and self-study to stay relevant in a complex environment.
  • Innovative thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Results-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Work Location and Schedule

  • This is a remote position based in Arizona.
  • Typical hours: Wednesday 12:30pm to 7pm, Thursday through Saturday, 6:30am to 6:30pm (Arizona Time).
