Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Sample Handling Assistant I to join our LPS team in Indianapolis, IN. Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 2pm-11pm. You will perform sample management, accessioning, labeling and storage, ensuring integrity and confidentiality in a fast-paced lab environment.

Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma and at least one year of work experience. Preferred qualifications include one year of sample handling and an Associate’s degree. Weekend and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• At least one year of work experience in a related role.

Responsibilities

• Performs sample management and archive tasks including labeling, receipt, transferring, tracking, inventory, storage, shipping and disposal.
• Accurate handling of samples: accessioning, labeling, receipt and storage, plus pulls/returns.
• Uses tracking systems to maintain sample and study integrity.
• Interprets relevant documentation and communicates discrepancies to appropriate personnel.
• Maintains confidentiality and supports a cohesive team environment.
• Communicates effectively with internal and external customers and supports process improvements.
