Job summary

Littleton Regional Healthcare in Littleton, NH is seeking a Staff Registered Nurse for Same Day Surgery, Endoscopy, and PACU. You will provide comprehensive perioperative care across pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases.

Responsibilities include pre-procedure assessments, IV access, documentation in the EHR, education on post-care, and discharge planning. Must meet NH Nurse Practice Act and hold ACLS and PALS within 45 days.

Qualifications

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for surgery, endoscopy, PACU.
• Conduct pre-procedure nursing assessments and verify consents.
• Deliver patient education on procedures, NPO, sedation, and post-care.
• Initiate IV access and manage pre-op orders and documentation.
• Coordinate care to support surgical schedules and patient flow.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Operative / Pre-Procedural - review history, verify consents, ensure testing complete.
• Intra-Procedural Support - assist rooms, ensure supplies and documentation ready.
• Post-Operative / PACU Recovery - monitor per ASPAN and Aldrete score, educate on wound care and activity.
• Communicate discharge instructions and arrange follow-up.
