Job summary

Littleton Regional Healthcare is seeking a Staff Registered Nurse for the Perioperative Services department in Littleton, NH. The role covers pre-operative, intra-procedural, and post-anesthesia care across SDS, PACU, and Endoscopy units.

The nurse delivers comprehensive patient care, follows hospital policies, and participates in safety and quality initiatives while complying with the New Hampshire Nurse Practice Act. ACLS and PALS are required within 45 days of hire.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in NH per NH Nurse Practice Act.
• ACLS and PALS required within 45 days of hire.
• Experience in perioperative, SDS, PACU, or Endoscopy is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pre-operative nursing assessments and history review; consent verification; pre-procedure testing coordination.
• Intra-procedural support; room preparation; supplies and documentation readiness for SDS/Endoscopy.
• Post-operative recovery care using ASPAN guidelines and Aldrete scoring; discharge planning and instructions.
• Maintain communication with physicians, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure safe care.
• Assist in staff training, quality and safety initiatives, and occupancy readiness of care spaces.
