Job summary

Portneuf Medical Center is seeking a day shift, full-time CNA/Unit Secretary in Pocatello, ID. You will work closely with RNs to support patient care, perform clerical tasks, and help maintain a safe, clean unit.

The ideal candidate holds Idaho CNA certification, BLS, and a High School diploma, with prior nursing assistant experience preferred. Competitive benefits and tuition assistance are offered in a supportive, patient-first culture.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the State of Idaho is required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering patient care in collaboration with the RN.
• Document data and report observations to the RN.
• Obtain and record patients' vital signs.
• Assist with mobility, ADLs, and basic tasks.
• Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe patient environment and prepare/strip rooms as directed.
