Job Description

Saint Luke's Physician Group in Kansas City is seeking a BC/BE family medicine physician to join our Same Day Access Clinic team at the Perryman Primary Care clinic on the plaza.

About the position:

• This is a full-time position, four days a week, requiring 36 patient contact hours. No weekends, holidays, or call duties.

• The candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment, addressing urgent, non-emergent health concerns.

• The role involves diagnosing and treating acute illnesses and injuries, coordinating follow-up care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure timely access to healthcare services.

• Responsibilities include providing timely care for patients with acute, non-life-threatening conditions, medication refills, sports physicals, and annual wellness visits.

• The physician will collaborate with APPs, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure continuity and quality of care, close care gaps, and assist with scheduling to direct patients to appropriate levels of care and follow-up appointments with a PCP.

• Minor procedures such as suturing, wound care, incision and drainage, and splinting will be performed, ensuring compassionate, culturally sensitive care for patients of all ages.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills are essential, along with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment managing multiple patients.

• The role utilizes a fully integrated Epic EMR; prior experience or familiarity with Epic is preferred.

• Requirements include BC/BE in Family Medicine and the ability to obtain MO/KS state medical licenses.
