Qualifications

• 1+ years of heavy equipment operating experience.
• Some automotive background is preferred.
• Basic computer/handheld device proficiency.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work calmly in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely to move salvage vehicles and support dismantle/yard operations.
• Perform preoperational inspections and report findings to management.
• Update inventory using scan gun and tablet/phone on location of vehicles.
• Help fulfill daily work orders and coordinate with dispatch.
• Maintain grounds, access roads, drainage and salvage yard areas.
• Assist with safety, regulatory compliance and quality assurance for dismantled vehicles.
• Load processing racks, crush vehicles, and load onto scrap haulers as needed.
• Communicate delays or problems promptly to management and coworkers.
