Job summary

Goodwill Industries Sacramento Valley and Northern Nevada, Inc. seeks a Salvage Processor I at one of its outlet locations.

The role supports processing salvage materials from stores for resale or salvage vendors, with duties including sorting, rotating tables, moving materials, and operating salvage machinery. Candidates must meet safety standards, lift up to 75 pounds, work with minimal supervision, and provide reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must understand safety standards including proper lifting techniques.
• Inclination toward repetitive and routine tasks.
• Must be able to operate basic office equipment.
• Must be able to present information and respond to questions from management.
• Must provide proof of identification and eligibility to work in the United States.
• Must perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must work productively with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Sorts and grades salvage materials by separating into quality level (Outlet or Salvage).
• Rotates salvage tables into and out of the outlet sales floor.
• Moves salvage materials to the various stations of the salvage process.
• Manually places salvage materials into various machines of the salvage process.
• Adheres to all safety requirements including wearing PPE at all times.
• Performs housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness of processing area and facility.
• Keeps necessary records for daily activities and reports in a neat manner.
• Provides customer service with a positive image during public contact.
• Attends meetings and training sessions as required.
• Ensures compliance with policies, CARF standards, and safety regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
