Job summary

Goodwill Industries® of Sacramento Valley and Northern Nevada, Inc. is seeking a Clerk Processor I for a full-time position. The role involves cash handling, merchandising, sorting, tagging, and customer service in a busy retail environment.

The successful candidate will work with a variety of merchandise, assist with pricing, operate the register, and ensure the showroom and processing areas remain clean and organized. Prior retail or warehouse experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in retail field or warehouse.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to effectively communicate, including reading and writing in English.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• Must perform Clerk Processor duties with or without accommodation.
• Must meet qualitative and quantitative performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Kaizen principles of work station organization.
• Cleans sorts hangs and tags saleable items; prices according to pricing guide.
• Assesses quality, style, type, and use; removes and deposits unacceptable items.
• Stocks and presents merchandise for maximum salability.
• Operates cash register with accuracy.
• Keeps Management informed as to merchandise needs.
• Provides quality customer service in a timely and courteous manner to all shoppers, donors and employees.
• Loads /Unloads trailer safely and effectively.
• Maintains store processing and parking lot areas for cleanliness and order.
• Maintains proper working order of doors, odor control, cash registers, vending machines, etc.
• Maintains exterior/building appearance and signage.
• Maintains a clean and orderly store processing area and good housekeeping.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
