Job summary

Salt City Trucking is hiring a Local CDL-A Intermodal Driver to operate in the St. Louis area with daily home time. You’ll haul containers on chassis within a 300-mile radius, with a mix of drop-and-hook, live loads, live unloads, and preloaded freight.

We offer competitive pay including $1,100+ average weekly pay, $0.56 per mile, and additional incentives. Expect day or night shifts, home daily, and a slip-seat operation supporting a Monday–Friday style schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently for driving, communication, and required documentation.
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience.

Local CDL-A Intermodal Driver – Good Pay | Home Daily

Join a dedicated intermodal operation in the St. Louis area with daily home time, day and night shift opportunities, and freight operating within a 300-mile radius. Drivers haul containers on chassis with a mix of drop-and-hook, live loads, live unloads, and preloaded freight.

Pay Details

• $1,100+ average weekly pay
• $0.56 per mile on loaded and empty miles
• $40 + mileage on loads with 1-49 loaded miles
• Additional $20 pay as applicable
• Pay is based on loads completed and paid in increments
• Paid weekly

Job Details

Job Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
• Must be at least 22 years old
• No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years, subject to restrictions
• No more than 1 DOT-recordable preventable accident in the past 3 years
• Must meet DOT Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse requirements
• Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently for driving, communication, and required documentation
• Additional qualifications may apply
