Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A Local Dry Van Driver for a TARGET ACCOUNT based out of Shafter, CA. Earn around $1,200 per week on a dedicated local route serving stores across California and Nevada. Drivers are home daily when feasible and no freight is loaded or unloaded by the driver.

Shift is night-oriented, runs 24/7, with potential 6-day weeks during peak periods and 5 on/2 off during low volume. No SAP drivers; DOT Medical Card and clean driving record required.

Qualifications

• First-seat experienced drivers and trainees considered.
• Must be comfortable with night shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Dedicated local dry van operation within ~40 miles of the Shafter distribution center.
• Slip-seat operation with no loading/unloading of freight.
• No-touch freight; no driver loading/unloading.
• Trailer swaps and king pin locks used at delivery locations.
• Overnight stays may be required during peak periods.

Hiring out of Shafter, CA! Earn around $1,200 per week on a dedicated local dry van account serving stores throughout California and Nevada. Enjoy mostly home-daily operations with no driver loading or unloading freight.

Pay Details

• $1,200 average weekly pay
• Pay based on experience: $0.53–$0.64 CPM
• Up to 2,000 miles per week
• $20 for loads under 100 miles
• $15 stop pay for sweep trailer and backhaul, paid once
• No bonus offered

Job Details

• Dedicated local dry van operation
• Hiring location: Shafter, CA
• Routes within approximately 40 miles of the distribution center for dispatch, with deliveries throughout the Central Valley, greater Los Angeles area, and Las Vegas
• No-touch freight
• Drivers do not load or unload
• Swap trailers at customer locations
• Trailer must be secured with king pin locks
• Slip-seat operation
• Company trucks remain at the Shafter facility
• Reliable transportation to and from work required

Shift Details

• Night shift
• Operation runs 24/7, Monday–Sunday
