Job summary

Regis Corporation in Indianapolis offers a stylist-in-training position, a temporary 90-day program designed to onboard an unlicensed individual into the salon workflow and learn the business.

During training, you will assist in daily operations, promote services and retail, deliver excellent customer service, observe experienced stylists, and learn time and inventory management under supervision.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an accredited cosmetology school and obtain the necessary license(s) to perform salon services within or before 90 days of hire-date.
• Ability to work in a dynamic salon environment.
• Good time management skills, good judgment, and the ability to multi-task.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills to communicate in a professional and courteous manner with customers, co-workers, and management.
• Computer knowledge including but not limited to point-of-sale systems and data entry.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Market and grow the business by promoting services and retail products.
• Observe other stylists and managers and learn from them.
• Provide exceptional customer service and communicate with customers, management, and co-workers.
• Control expenses and adhere to company policies.
• Promote and sell services and retail products to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Answer telephones, stock shelves, dust, and sweep as part of daily duties.
• Complete all other duties as assigned by the manager.
