What is a Store Driver?

An entry-level store position responsible for supporting the delivery of parts to commercial customers, assisting with inventory and task processes in the store. The role can be part-time or full-time and requires fleet safety certification.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
2. Pick and stage parts for customer orders
3. Pick up returns and cores
4. Distribute weekly/monthly sales flyers
5. Collect payments from credit accounts daily

Secondary Responsibilities

1. Maintain store cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot)
2. Stocking including truck and back stock

Success Factors

1. Basic driving and navigation skills
2. Ability to use delivery systems
3. Friendly communication skills
4. Ability to locate and stock parts efficiently
5. Knowledge of safety procedures
6. Operating inventory systems and store equipment

Essential Job Skills

Preferred Experience

Automotive parts experience is preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

Physical Demands

Requires walking, standing, talking, hearing, handling, reaching, climbing, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, and depth perception.

Work Environment

Primarily indoor work, with occasional outdoor tasks exposed to weather, mechanical parts, chemicals, and noise. Safety precautions should be followed at all times.
