What is a Store Driver?

An entry-level store position responsible for supporting the delivery of parts to commercial customers. The role involves delivering parts, assisting with inventory management, and supporting store tasks. This position can be part-time or full-time and requires fleet safety certification.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
2. Pick and stage parts for customer orders
3. Pick up returns and cores
4. Distribute weekly/monthly sales flyers
5. Collect payments from credit accounts daily

Secondary Responsibilities

• Maintain store cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot)
• Stocking tasks, including truck and back stock

Success Factors

• Basic driving and navigation skills
• Proficiency with delivery systems
• Friendly communication skills
• Ability to locate and stock parts efficiently
• Knowledge of safety protocols
• Experience with inventory systems and store equipment

Preferred Experience

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

Physical Demands

The role requires walking, standing, talking, hearing, and manual dexterity. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, and depth perception.

Work Environment

Primarily indoor work, with occasional outdoor tasks in various weather conditions. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, electrical hazards, and noise is possible. The noise level is usually moderate.
