Advance Auto Parts is looking for dedicated professionals to join our team in the roles of Salesperson and Store Driver. The positions support the DIY business, achieve sales and service objectives, and deliver parts to customers both retail and commercial.

Salesperson

Entry‑level sales position capable of supporting the DIY business and reaching our sales and service objectives. The role requires knowledge of store systems, basic automotive knowledge, and part knowledge. Applicants must be able to source parts from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers, and have in‑depth knowledge of store inventory and maintenance processes. Parts delivery may be part‑time or full‑time. Fleet safety certification is preferred.

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
• Achieve personal sales goal and help store achieve its sales goals
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
• Maintain store product and operational standards
• Responsible for inventory processes including truck put‑away, shoot‑outs, cycle counts, and backstock

Secondary Responsibilities

• Store cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot)
• General stocking, including truck stocking and back stock
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed

Store Driver

Entry‑level store position supporting delivery of parts to commercial customers. Responsible for delivering parts, picking and staging parts for customer orders, picking up returns and cores, dropping off weekly/monthly sales flyer, and collecting credit accounts daily. The position can be part‑time or full‑time and requires fleet safety certification.

Physical Demands

The employee will predominantly walk or stand, talk and hear, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The employee is usually working inside but may occasionally be outside exposed to weather when installing batteries or wiper blades. The employee is also occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibration. The noise level is usually moderate.
