What You Need To Know About The Job

We are seeking Salesforce Solution Architects with an e-Commerce background to be responsible for the design and development oversight of applications developed on the Salesforce platform for our Training Services business. The position will also mentor junior and mid-level developers, conducting code peer review and working through issues/problems.

The work location for this exciting opportunity is virtual. The selected candidate will work 100% remotely from home and can be located anywhere in the United States but must work an east coast schedule. (Core Working Hours 9:00am-5:00pm Eastern)

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities):
  • Define Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Architecture & Design
  • Ensure all new B2B and B2C commerce functionalities are built with Salesforce standard features and Red Cross target technology architecture
  • Lead/mentor/guide a team of developers (mix of onshore and offshore), providing technical guidance
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and coaching for solution and integration teams
  • Establish and control technical definitions, rules, principles, and standards for teams
  • Assess, review, and decide on all solution architecture designs
  • Deliver presentations, architectural blueprint documents, environment management plans, development policies, and participate in requirements-gathering workshops to influence project direction
  • Implement best practice standards: design, coding, environment, data
  • Document newly developed functionality in solution designs
  • Partner with Product Managers / Owners, Business Stakeholders, and analysts to translate requirements into Salesforce solutions
  • Manage all application architecture artifacts
  • Ongoing application rationalization and user experience simplification
  • Translate solutions into functional specifications with technical teams
  • Manage technical delivery of custom development, integrations, and data migration
  • Build Proofs-Of-Concepts for stakeholders
  • Establish and implement development patterns
  • Define and implement DevOps processes

Scope: Individual contributor with limited supervision, applying subject matter knowledge to specific needs.

Qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. No sponsorships are available.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):
  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, IS, Business Administration, or related
  • 8+ years Salesforce experience, with 5+ years on the platform; expert understanding of Salesforce products
  • Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) core and foundational concepts, multichannel architecture, data modeling, and integrations
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with content management, task management, internationalization, personalization, catalog, order, pricing, promotions, inventory, checkout, and security
  • Experience with SFCC platform, Demandware, or Cloudcraze, and Web services (REST/SOAP) and APIs
  • Experience mentoring junior staff and conducting QA
  • Strong development background, including code refactoring and design patterns
  • End-to-end Salesforce solution design experience
  • Proficiency in VisualForce, Lightning Web Components, Apex, APIs, deployment, and Salesforce security
  • Knowledge of data integration tools and experience with Mulesoft
  • Ability to define system landscape and identify gaps
  • Understanding of Salesforce architecture and scalable solution design
  • Knowledge of authentication patterns (SAML, SSO, OAuth)
  • Experience with environment management, release management, deployment tools, and version control
  • Familiarity with DevOps processes
  • Excellent analytical, learning, and communication skills
Preferred Certifications:

Salesforce B2C Commerce Developer, Architect, Platform Developer 1, Administrator, App Builder, Service Cloud, Community Cloud, CTA, or equivalent.

Pay Range:

$150K - $175K annually, no bonus. Salaries are location-specific and based on experience and skills. Salary details reviewed at screening.
