Job summary

The University of Utah’s David Eccles School of Business seeks a collaborative Salesforce Developer/Administrator to support Graduate Programs and Executive Education within the central Salesforce environment. This role will work with the Salesforce Team Lead and Lead Developer to deliver technical solutions, maintain functionality, and evolve the platform.

Qualifications

• Experience with Salesforce Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Salesforce Flow, SOQL/SOSL, data modeling, and API integrations.
• Ability to analyze complex data, investigate discrepancies, understand relationships across objects and systems, and use data to identify issues and inform solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to create and maintain clear technical documentation, including system processes, data flows, implementation details, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Ability to work effectively with technical leads, developers, administrators, and business stakeholders; incorporate feedback; and contribute to shared technical decisions.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to investigate unfamiliar systems, understand existing functionality, and develop maintainable solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and document decisions for varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Collaborative Solution Development: design, develop, test, and implement Salesforce enhancements under guidance, aligning with architecture and requirements.
• Enhance Existing Functionality: extend Salesforce objects, automation, Apex classes, LWCs, and integrations while reusing established patterns.
• Technical Implementation: apply sound development and configuration practices using Apex, LWC, SOQL/SOSL, Flows, and related platform capabilities.
• Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement: investigate defects, analyze behavior, and support maintenance and platform improvements.
• Integrations & Data Processes: support integrations and data pipelines between Salesforce and other university systems.
