Zscaler is seeking a Salesforce Developer to join the Information Technology Business Applications team in a Hybrid role based in San Jose, CA or Bellevue, WA (3 days in office). You will drive design, development, and scaling of Salesforce solutions, leveraging Apex, LWC, Aura, and SLDS to optimize business processes and data integrity across environments.

Responsibilities include UI component development, Apex controllers, test coverage, and robust deployments using VS Code, Git, and Data

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
• Experience leveraging generative AI tools to accelerate Salesforce development.
• Expertise in developing Lightning Components with CSS and design parameters.
• Strong knowledge of the Salesforce ecosystem, architecture, and core platform capabilities.
• Experience programming in Apex, Visualforce pages, LWC, and Aura Components development.
• U.S. citizenship, required due to the nature of the customers assigned to this role.

Role

We are seeking a Salesforce Developer to join our Information Technology Business Applications team. This is a Hybrid role based in San Jose, CA or Bellevue, WA (3 days in office),, reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Application Engineering.

In this role, you will drive the design, development, and scaling of robust Salesforce solutions that empower internal stakeholders and optimize business processes. By leveraging your expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and platform best practices, you will build critical applications, conduct rigorous testing, and maintain code quality to ensure high system performance and seamless data integrity across our environments.

What you’ll do (Role Expectations)

• Develop and customize user interface components using Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Aura, ensuring alignment with the Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS) and upgrading legacy Visualforce pages

• Design and maintain highly efficient Apex Controllers, Triggers, and SOQL/SOSL queries while strictly adhering to Salesforce Governor Limits and development best practices

• Champion overall code quality by refactoring existing Apex classes, ensuring context-aware execution, and utilizing JavaScript Helper functions to maintain clean controllers

• Execute robust testing strategies by writing comprehensive Apex test classes to achieve high-quality test coverage, managing seamless deployments using VS Code and Git

• Perform routine data administration, bulk uploads, and environment synchronization using Data Loader to maintain impeccable data integrity across all environments

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

• Experience leveraging generative AI tools (such as Copilot, Gemini, or ChatGPT) to accelerate Salesforce development, optimize Apex code quality, or write test classes

• 2+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience with a background in Computer Science or Information Technology

• Expertise in developing Lightning Components with CSS and design parameters to enhance look and feel

• Strong knowledge of the Salesforce ecosystem, architecture, and core platform capabilities

• Experience programming in Apex, Visualforce pages, LWC, and Aura Component development

• U.S. citizenship, required due to the nature of the customers assigned to this role

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Proficiency with AI code‑assistance tools (such as Cursor, Windsurf, or Einstein for Developers) to accelerate legacy refactoring, system development, and workflow automation

• Salesforce Platform Developer I (PDI) certification

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.

Base Pay Range

$116,000—$145,000 USD
