Role

As the Senior Manager of Software Test Engineering for the Zero Trust Exchange organization at Zscaler, you will play a critical role in driving our visionary innovation over the next decade. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Software Engineering, you will lead a high-performing team in rapidly scaling the Zscaler Client Connector Portal service. In this San Jose, CA-based role, you will work closely with the executive team to deliver cutting-edge services that transform the industry.

• Lead the Quality Assurance team to embrace the AI Development Lifecycle while collaborating closely with peer product and operations teams
• Direct cloud operations including upgrades, scalability improvements, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal service performance
• Drive the transition of the engineering team to a comprehensive, full-service ownership model
• Partner with product management to define, refine, and execute the strategic product roadmap

What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

• Experience integrating AI-driven methodologies or AI Development Lifecycle (AIDLC) principles into software development and QA workflows
• 7+ years of experience building, leading and scaling Quality Assurance or software engineering teams
• 5+ years of experience working with cloud-based deployments and cloud operations
• 3+ years of experience with hyperscale cloud platforms, specifically AWS
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
• Hands-on experience writing Python and shell scripts for automation and with proficiency in Java, SSL, and MySQL

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Current, hands-on experience utilizing AI Development Lifecycle (AIDLC) methodologies to optimize software delivery
• In-depth, advanced knowledge of Kubernetes and microservices architectures

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.

Base Pay Range

$212,000 - $265,000 USD
