The Opportunity
West End Workforce is recruiting an experienced Salesforce Business Analyst to help a federal client assess, analyze, and improve an existing Salesforce environment. You will work closely with business stakeholders, Salesforce architects, administrators, and technical teams to gather requirements, document current-state and future-state processes, and support modernization and optimization initiatives across the platform. You will facilitate discovery activities, analyze business workflows, identify operational and functional gaps, and translate business needs into actionable user stories and solution recommendations. The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis expertise, solid Salesforce platform knowledge, excellent communication skills, and experience in complex enterprise or federal environments.
What You Will Do
- Run discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, and workshops with business and technical teams
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, workflows, process maps, and user stories
- Analyze existing Salesforce business processes, configurations, reporting, automation, and user experience
- Support assessment activities related to federal audit findings, compliance requirements, and operational risks
- Collaborate with Salesforce architects, administrators, developers, and program leadership to define solution recommendations
- Assist with backlog management, prioritization, and roadmap planning
- Keep business stakeholders and technical delivery teams aligned and informed
- Develop business process documentation, executive summaries, presentations, and status reports
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reporting, data quality, governance, automation, and user adoption
- Support testing, validation, change management, training, and user adoption efforts as needed
What You Bring
- 2+ years of experience as a Salesforce Business Analyst or in a related business systems analyst role
- A minimum of five years of experience performing IT requirements analysis
- BS or BA required; MS or MBA preferred
- Experience conducting stakeholder interviews, workshops, requirements gathering, and discovery sessions
- Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, including Service Cloud, Lightning Experience, workflows and automation, reports, dashboards, profiles and permissions, and data management
- Experience creating and documenting business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, and process flow diagrams
- Ability to analyze business processes and identify functional gaps and improvement opportunities
- Experience supporting Agile delivery, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release lifecycles
- Strong analytical, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
- Experience collaborating with architects, developers, administrators, testers, and executive stakeholders
- Familiarity with governance, compliance, audit, and risk management activities in enterprise environments
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities in a complex organization
- Strong understanding of the future of AI agents and data as it applies to the Salesforce ecosystem
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain a federal government clearance (Public Trust)
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting federal agencies or public sector organizations
- Familiarity with federal audits, compliance standards, and oversight processes
- Salesforce certifications such as Business Analyst, Administrator, Platform App Builder, or Service Cloud Consultant
- Experience supporting Salesforce modernization and migration initiatives
- Knowledge of Agile tools and product backlog management practices
- Experience with data governance, reporting strategy, and Salesforce integrations
- Familiarity with DevOps and release management practices within Salesforce environments
- Experience supporting user training, organizational change management, and adoption initiatives
Clearance and Eligibility
- Public Trust / Moderate Background Investigation (MBI) Tier 2
- Must be a US Citizen, or a Green Card / H1b visa holder who has maintained residence in the USA for three contiguous years (short vacations are not included in the three-year requirement)
