Salesforce and Business Systems Engineer (Remote - USA)

Position Overview:

We’re looking for a tech-forward problem solver to maintain and continuously improve our technology infrastructure. In this role, you’ll collaborate with functional leaders across the organization to ensure our systems effectively support operational goals and strategic priorities. Responsibilities include ongoing system maintenance, issue resolution, documentation, process reviews, and identifying opportunities for improvement. The role is especially well-suited for someone interested in leveraging AI and modern technologies to drive innovation within a finance-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement customized Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Aura.
  • Administer and configure Salesforce environments, including user roles, security settings, SSO/MFA, sandboxes, patching, and integrations with third-party applications via REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Perform unit and system testing, and debug issues to ensure application functionality, stability, and performance across environments.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements to assess feasibility and suggest scalable solutions.
  • Build and manage ELT/ETL pipelines using tools like Integrate.io, Fivetran, and Airflow.
  • Design data models and write efficient SQL to support cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, etc.).
  • Develop data infrastructure to support reporting, analytics, and decision-making.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation.
  • Manage user access and security for core SaaS applications (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom).
  • Maintain and update disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and evaluate potential new systems and tools.
  • Lead efforts to integrate AI and other emerging technologies to enhance business processes and efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of Salesforce Developer experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience managing and administering SaaS applications such as Google Workspace, Slack, SFDC, etc.
  • Skilled in designing, building, and maintaining ELT/ETL pipelines and cloud data warehouse solutions (BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake).
  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery planning.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in IT administration, including IAM, networking, and access management.
  • Understanding of core information security principles and technologies.
  • Active Salesforce certifications, including Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer 1, Platform Developer 2.
