Job summary

AssetMark in Charlotte, NC is seeking a skilled Salesforce Administrator to join our enterprise applications team. You will configure, support, and continually improve Salesforce to enable our wealth management platform and business operations.

Collaborate with administrators, developers, architects, product managers, and business partners to manage users, data, security, automation, and reporting while ensuring governance and reliability.

Qualifications

  • 3–6 years of professional experience administering and supporting Salesforce solutions in enterprise production environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Hands‑on experience with Salesforce configuration, security administration, Flow automation, data management, reporting, user support, testing, and release activities.
  • Practical experience administering Salesforce Financial Services Cloud solutions is strongly required.
  • Experience using Copado, Flosum, or a comparable Salesforce DevOps platform for deployment and release management is preferred.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification is required; Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Salesforce Developer I & II, Financial Services Cloud, Data Cloud, or relevant Salesforce certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Platform Administration and Configuration: Configure and maintain users, roles, profiles, permission sets, public groups, queues, page layouts, record types, Lightning pages, custom fields, validation rules, and other platform capabilities required to support business operations.
  • Financial Services Cloud Administration: Configure and support Financial Services Cloud capabilities related to client onboarding, households, relationship management, financial accounts, referrals, action plans, and advisor productivity.
  • Process Automation: Design, build, test, and maintain Flow, approval processes, and related declarative automation to streamline business processes and reduce manual effort.
  • User Support and Adoption: Provide day‑to‑day support to Salesforce users, investigate and resolve access or configuration issues, maintain user documentation, and deliver guidance or training that improves platform adoption and data quality.
  • Data Management and Quality: Perform data imports, exports, cleansing, deduplication, validation, mass updates, and migration support using Data Loader, Import Wizard, Workbench, and approved Salesforce data tools.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Create and maintain reports, dashboards, report types, folders, subscriptions, and actionable business insights; support CRM Analytics or Data Cloud reporting use cases as needed.
  • Security and Compliance: Administer the Salesforce security and sharing model in accordance with financial‑services governance, privacy, audit, segregation‑of‑duties, and data‑protection requirements.
  • Release and Environment Management: Support sandbox management, metadata changes, testing, deployment coordination, release documentation, and production validation using change sets, Salesforce DX, and tools such as Copado, Flosum, Azure DevOps, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
  • Operational Support and Troubleshooting: Monitor platform health, troubleshoot production issues, perform root‑cause analysis, coordinate defect resolution, and document solutions, known issues, and operational procedures.
  • Business & Technical Collaboration: Partner with product managers, business users, operations teams, data stewards, analysts, developers, and architects to understand processes, clarify requirements, and translate business needs into scalable declarative solutions.
  • Global Delivery & Continuous Improvement: Participate actively in agile ceremonies, retrospectives, documentation, testing, and knowledge sharing across the GCC and U.S. teams, and responsibly use AI‑assisted methods to improve administration, analysis, documentation, and troubleshooting.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Salesforce Administrator to join our enterprise applications salesforce team. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to advance your career in a collaborative environment while configuring, supporting, and continuously improving scalable Salesforce capabilities that enable AssetMark's wealth management platform and business operations. As a Salesforce Administrator, you'll work alongside experienced administrators, developers, architects, product managers, and business partners while supporting mission‑critical solutions across the Salesforce ecosystem. You'll manage platform configuration, security, data quality, automation, reporting, user support, and release activities; improve platform reliability, adoption, governance, and operational efficiency; and build the technical and domain expertise to take on increasingly complex responsibilities. This role is based in Charlotte, NC and follows a hybrid work model. You will collaborate with colleagues across the United States and India, with reasonable working‑hour overlap when needed for team ceremonies, planning, production support, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce administration, including users, profiles, permission sets, roles, sharing rules, queues, record types, page layouts, Lightning App Builder, custom objects, fields, and validation rules.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data models, relationship types, platform limits, order of execution, configuration dependencies, and maintainable declarative solution design.
  • Expertise in Organization‑Wide Defaults, role hierarchy, sharing rules, teams, manual sharing, Field‑Level Security, login controls, and secure access‑control design.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce Flow, approval processes, assignment rules, escalation rules, email alerts, and other declarative automation capabilities.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce reports, dashboards, custom report types, joined reports, row‑level formulas, folder security, and business‑insight capabilities.
  • Experience with Data Loader, Workbench, Import Wizard, duplicate rules, matching rules, data validation, and tools used for large‑scale Salesforce data operations.
  • Working knowledge of sandbox strategies, metadata management, change sets, Salesforce DX, testing practices, deployment validation, and release coordination.
  • Ability to evaluate declarative configuration options, identify when custom development is required, and collaborate effectively with developers and architects.
  • Familiarity with integrations, APIs, connected apps, OAuth, middleware, scheduled jobs, and common causes of data synchronization or interface issues.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to investigate ambiguous access, data, automation, reporting, integration, or platform issues methodically.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, communication, stakeholder‑management, and cross‑functional collaboration skills in a globally distributed agile environment.
  • Experience in wealth management, asset management, financial technology, or a related financial‑services domain is a plus.
Qualifications & Experience

  • Salesforce Administrator certification is required; Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Salesforce Developer I & II, Financial Services Cloud, Data Cloud, or relevant Salesforce certifications are advantageous.
  • Experience working with sensitive or regulated financial data and applying secure administration, change‑management, and data‑handling practices is required.
  • Wealth management, asset management, financial technology, or related financial‑services experience is a plus.

Compensation

The Base Salary range for this position is between $90,000-$105,000. This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job‑related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
