Job Description Summary
The Sales Training Manager works in the Field Coaching & Development department to train highly effective Field Sales Managers and Sales Reps. This role involves active training and coaching in the market. The individual will collaborate across sales teams, identify training gaps, and deliver impactful training and coaching.

Job Responsibilities
- Implement targeted training programs to enhance the skills of the sales team in line with strategic objectives.
- Complete onboarding training for new hires and ongoing training for all sales staff.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement new training methods for Field Sales Managers and Sales Reps.
- Schedule and participate in 'work withs' to promote market success and 'train the trainer' on the Breakthru Way of Selling.
- Support leadership with career development and performance management of sales staff.
- Provide coaching to Field Sales Managers and Sales Reps.
- Partner with sales and marketing to understand and achieve business goals.
- Analyze training needs and evaluate training effectiveness through data collection and interpretation.
- Recommend improvements based on analysis to leadership.
- Act as a liaison between supplier trainers and the company for training needs.
- Participate in interviews, succession planning, and career pathing.
- Serve as the primary contact for supplier interns and internal candidates.
- Assist in organizing sales meetings, including speaking or coordinating events.
Additional duties include:
- Conduct safe and responsible interactions with the public.
- Handle beverage alcohol products responsibly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of total sales experience, including 3 years in people management.
- Proficiency in MS Office and presentation software.
- Strong communication, customer service, and results-oriented skills.
- Ability to multitask, work independently or in a team, with high attention to detail.
- Analytic and reporting skills.
- Sound judgment and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in Wine & Spirits Distribution preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with supplier-specific training and sales management.
Physical Requirements
- Stationary work, communication, and computer use required.
- Travel estimated at 50% of the time.
Competencies
- Ability to coordinate junior team members' work.
- Problem-solving and issue resolution skills.
