Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Trainer/Coach to join our dynamic sales team to oversee on-going Sales coaching and training as well as robust onboarding programs . As a Sales Trainer at Excelligence, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive training programs to enhance the sales skills and product knowledge of our sales representatives. Your primary goal will be to equip our sales team s (new and existing associates) with the tools and knowledge needed to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop training programs focused on sales techniques ("Outcome Selling"), product knowledge, and customer engagement to improve the performance of the sales team.
  • Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions for new hires as well as ongoing training programs for existing sales representatives.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Management team to identify training needs and areas for improvement throughout the Inside and Outside sales force.
  • Create training materials including presentations, manuals, and multimedia content to support training initiatives.
  • Deliver training sessions using a variety of instructional techniques, such as group discussions, role-playing, and e-learning platforms.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics; and, make necessary adjustments to enhance outcomes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, sales methodologies, and product knowledge to ensure the training content remains current and relevant.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to sales representatives, offering guidance and support in their professional development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Product Development and Marketing, to ensure alignment in messaging and knowledge transfer.
  • Travel to different sales territories, as needed, to conduct on-site training and provide support to the sales team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
  • Proven experience as a Sales Trainer/Coach or in a similar role, preferably within the education or educational products industry.
  • Strong understanding of sales methodologies, techniques, outcome selling and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate an audience.
  • Experience with instructional design and developing training materials.
  • Proficiency in using e-learning platforms, CRM (especially Salesforce.com), and multimedia tools.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel, as required, to deliver training sessions and support the sales team.
