Job description

Position Summary:

Develops industry-specific knowledge and experience required for promotion to Outside Sales Representative role. May rotate through various departments observing, learning, and performing responsibilities to acquire industry knowledge, functional processes, practices, and sales techniques.

What You'll Do:

1. Receive training and perform progressively responsible duties in areas such as yard operations, production, dispatch/scheduling/delivery, and inside sales while learning the outside sales role.
2. Accompany Outside Sales Reps or Sales Managers on customer calls to learn effective sales and customer service techniques.
3. Assist with inside sales/counter responsibilities, including answering phones, taking orders, and other duties.
4. Perform outside sales responsibilities such as take-offs, order processing, obtaining signatures, and making sales calls to new and existing customers.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field plus 0-2 years of industry operations/sales experience; or equivalent education and experience.
