How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Sales Trainee will be placed in a comprehensive training program designed to provide a working knowledge of our industry, customers, and organization. This program focuses on sales and professional development, preparing the Trainee to meet challenges in this role. Upon completion, the Trainee is expected to meet and exceed sales growth, profitability, and A/R management objectives within the assigned territory. The role requires selling all Airgas products to customers.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Travel throughout the territory to call on current and prospective customers.
  2. Develop and execute plans to maintain and grow the customer base.
  3. Communicate effectively with internal departments regarding customer success, failures, and new developments.
  4. Improve Airgas market share within the territory.
  5. Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals.
  6. Qualify and pursue sales leads from other Airgas departments.
  7. Report on territory performance, personal achievements, and market trends through required reports.
  8. Maintain open communication and a leadership role within the organization.
  9. Prioritize safety by adhering to company safety procedures.
Are you a MATCH?
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business or Sales.
  • Effective networking and negotiation skills; strong communication skills.
  • Good organizational and management skills; goal-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Valid driver's license and personal vehicle with insurance.
  • Aspiring to build a career in outside sales and leadership.
  • Willingness to work onsite and travel locally.
