Overview
The main focus is developing and maintaining relationships with scrap processors, steel producers and transportation companies. This requires contact by visitation, phone calls, and emails on a constant basis. The trader must be able to plan a travel schedule which utilizes their time efficiently. Generally, travel is required during the middle weeks of each month to help build a relationship between the trading representative and individual customers. Potentially, up to ten days each month could be spent away from home.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with scrap processors, steel producers and transportation companies through visitation, phone calls, and emails.
- Plan and manage travel schedules to maximize efficiency; travel may be required mid-month and can amount to up to ten days per month away from home.
- During the first and last weeks of each month, probe supply and demand of commodities for the forthcoming month, using excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
- Contribute to information assimilation within the scrap trading team to prepare for future business; participate in training programs and on-the-job training with experienced staff.

Compensation
- Base pay range: $60,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr
- Annual Bonus
